I like Interceptor beter for toy breeds (not because of the dosing available for small dogs since it is still a huge overdose if you want heartworm protection alone...probably about like Heartgard, but because small dogs seem to do well on it). I've used both and haven't had any problems, but am more comfortable with Interceptor. I don't have a problem with Novartis or Merial though ( I think they do...okay for drug companies).
Personally I would not use Revolution, Advantage Multi, or Proheart 6 for heartworm prevention. I would use Sentinel.
I do buy supplements for Ellie online, but the heartworm med comes from her vet.
