This might be the reason that she is not showing improvement if it was an anti inflammatory that was to be given over a period of time but was stopped too soon I would think that you would not see results as expected.

What do you mean when you say she has a lame leg? Do you mean that she is not putting any weight on it at all, hold it up, or limping? Did they mention anything about her possibly having LP? All 3 of mine have some degree of LP so I need to watch that they do not jump but they have all limped in the past from doing something they should not have If I were you I would just pay the money for the Xray to make sure there is not a break. Poor thing always seems to have something going on

it's called a puppy wellness plan. it's 99 to start up and 20 a month for a year. it covers all shots, the spay, and all vet visits, some dewormings, fecals, ext.

she started out Wed. morning not putting any weight on it at all, now she's using it most of the time, but still with a limp and i will still catch up holding it up and not using it at all.

the meds were for three days but they sent 5 days worth. i gave two days worth before stopping because she was really throwing up a lot. i also had to put her back on boiled chicken and rice because of the vomitting so much.

they never said anything about LP as far as i know. they said if it didn't improve in a day come back. it did improve because she started to use it more so we didn't go back. but that was after a day and now it's been 4 days and she's still got the limp. i just am concerned that it's not healing faster but maybe that's normal for a bad sprain/strain??

i agree to just xray and make sure it's nothing worse as a ruling out.

was it a bad idea to stop the anti-inflammatory meds a day early? should i have kept going with them? i was so worried about the throwing up at the time.
