Payment of stud fee is very dependent on what has been agreed upon both owners; it can be a pick of the litter (and if it was decided before hand that that was the agreement; one puppy is counted as a litter) or a stud fee ($2,500) wow!, is the stud a well sought after Champion that has produced Champions.....

The stud owner should be willing to take any pups you can't place and/or pups that have been placed but can't be kept by their owners. They are also responsible to help you with the whelp.

Now your statement of not wanting to get into the Champion niche.....Mmmmmm. If you aren't breeding to improve the breed and to improve the breed, then you shouldn't be breeding.

Please read the below article. It is posted in the YT Library.

I agree with all you said Mary, both stud and bitch should be having the same tests...I wouldn't let my male breed with a bitch unless she's had the same kind of tests my male has had...
For the same reasons as Mary, my male isn't up for public stud...
