How do most people with girls and no stud handle this? Thanks so much. Fortunately I do not have my girls in heat yet....just trying to be prepared and know who I want to use ahead of time.

Ask for x-rays OFA certification. Knees are not all that should be asked about. CERF, bile acids, ears, heart, brucellosis test, smears to make sure there are no underlying infection that can infect your girl or visa versa.etc. However, a good stud owner will ask the same of the owner of the female....The reason behind this is insure you have a good healthy litter, but 9 times out of 10 should a problem arise....the stud will be blamed for it. Remember all these tests will tell you that the dogs being used do not have any of these afflictions. But, it never is a guarantee that they aren't carriers
For many of the above reasons my boys are not for public stud.
