Crying in the crate, been there and the best thing to do is let him cry it out - well at least that is what I was told. It took maybe two nights and she was fine. Now Sophie Kate is old enough she is in our bed but when she was a baby it was the crate. I made it as comfy as possible for her, she has a sherpa pad, her fleece blanket and her nyla bone in the crate (Sophie still goes in the crate when we go away).
You may want to research crate training for potty training, it helped with us a lot. The trick I learned was to make the crate nice and comfy for them and they will treat it like their home. |
I second all of that. Morgan started off going potty in her crate, but she soon realized that wasn't where she was supposed to be going. She cried and cried at night, but that was because she didn't want to be alone. After she was potty trained, we started letting her sleep in our bed. Now she either sleeps between the two of us or at the bottom of our feet.
