She could not seem to push the first one out and by 12 am started the green discharge.
We had to make a trip to the emergency vet clinic.
2 pups (1 male and 1 female) were born with the help of Oxy shots, they were nice and healthy with weights the 4 oz range.
The third one refused to come out.
He said she had Uterine Inertia and they had to do a C-section to get the last one out.
The puppy another female only lived for a little bit but died.
Willow was also spayed..
Mom of course is sore but she and the 2 pups are doing Ok. | I am sorry to hear that Willow's labor did not progress normally, but thankfully she is ok and you've got 2 healthy puppies. I hope Willow feels herself again quickly and that everyone continues to do well. Quote:

We are still waiting..no signs really at all. When she had an xray I thought she was 55 and he thought only 45.. I am hoping she goes by Wednesday. I may run her back to the Vet for another look see..LOL
| Oh Melissa, I'll bet this is starting to feel like the longest pregnancy ever. It's a race to see who will whelp first...........Jenna......or....Scarlett. Unless she went last night, Cindy was still anxiously waiting too.
Hugs, prayers, and luck to the both of you & your girls, and to yorkiegirl2's Gracie who will be whelping sometime this month also. |
