I have clipped my own yorkies for years, and though they don't always come out picture-perfect, at least it's a lot less expensive, lol.

Here's a good link I found about grooming and trimming. I thought the best part was "How to get your puppy ready for the groomer" involving training your yorkie to be able to stand and be patient with being man-(or woman) handled by a stranger.
