| Is it too late? Hey everyone! I'm hoping that you have some advice for me and my DH. Our pup, Cohen, is about a year and a half old. He started marking at 6 months, and humping at about one year. We didn't want to get him neutered because we had always considered breeding him--he has great coloring and AKC papers so we thought he would be a perfect daddy. His habits were manageable, because he rarely did it unless he was in unfamiliar territory. Recently he has begun to mark all over the house. He has become extremely aggressive toward our neighbor's dogs, unprovoked (he is doing the attacking). I've tried everything, and I mean everything. Trust me. The last thing that I can possibly think of is to neuter him. But I am worried that since he has already picked up the habits, they will stick. Have any of you had any luck with neutering at a late age? What can I expect to happen? Thanks for any advice you have. |
