Derby's hair is thin, and cotton/wiry-like if that makes sense? It's got a bit of wave to it, and every time we try to grow it he gets burrs in his coat from running around the park like a crazy-guy and we have to cut it short again. We've now opted to keep it short, but man am I ever dying to have it a bit longer. I've given up on growing his hair out, but I'm now trying to grow his face hair to see if I can get that nice Yorkie face. We do it ourselves, so it's very hard... and it never looks -just- right. Practice will make perfect though! We don't have the money for dog-grooming.
