Roxy has a very silky coat. She doesn't mat. With a little daily care, you may find that Riley doesn't mat either. Her hair is very slow growing. Have tried
Expree shampoo/conditioner... liked but left her hair w/tangles daily. Tried
Minksheen... liked but still the miserable tangles. Finally tried BioGroom shampoo/conditioner & I had no tangles all week long. They also have one with oatmeal for itchy conditions.
I also really like the small CC wooden pin brush
Pin Brushes (Scroll down). Best brush I've found, but haven't tried the Madan brush.
As a pup Roxy didn't like her brush/comb either. She just wanted to chew on the brush. It was all so foreign to her. Be patient & give him time. He'll probably get used to it once he understands those things are no real threat and it's just part of everyday care. With good care & a good diet, he'll be incredibly handsome. : )
