She died when I was 21 (she was 44) - and what she went through during that time was excruciating. I am now 42, and still after all this time, I cannot believe what I saw a human being go through with cancer. Unless you've been there, you can't explain it to someone else.

So, please know that I understand - and that I'm here for you, if you need anything. I will keep you in my thoughts. Many hugs and much love to you.

{btw, they have tried morphine, I assume? that's usually what they use for advanced cancer. and does he have a central line in, so they can give it IV?}
Patti, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I couldn't say anything else better than Ann did. Except for our ages, her story sounds so much like mine (I was sixteen when my mom was diagnosed and 19 when she passed - mom was 55). Cancer is....well, it's indescribable for those who haven't experienced it. Please know I'm here for you if you ever need an ear or a shoulder. {hugs}
