Sure, true obesity is so bad for health - and is also such a problem now for U.S. children (especially).

But the fact our culture (and so many others too) idolize an appearance that is unattainable or airbrushed or obtained via unhealthy means, is truly demoralizing for all of us, and causes such an unhealthy set of standards.
I so agree with this! I get SO mad when I see children who are overweight! I wanna walk right up to their parents and scream at them. I don't care what an adult wants to shove down their throats, but to let your children do the same and become obese is just wrong. They are not only unhealthy, but I'm sure get stared at and ridiculed at school, which leads to self esteem issues, bullying... it's terrible. I have always struggled with my weight, and finally at the age of 27 I'm taking control of my health and my way of eating. I have lost 40 lbs since January and will continue on my track until I reach my goal weight range that's appropriate for my bone structure and height (anywhere between 140 and 160 lbs... I'll probably shoot for the 140 though lol!). I agree that society puts way too much pressure on women, and what we should look like. I just want to be healthy and look beautiful for myself. As far as my children though, I have never allowed them to eat unhealthy food. They can have fruit snacks here and there, but for the most part it's good stuff.
