I'm a bit like a mother hen..ive always liked everyone snuggled up with me at bedtime, whether it was my babies,toddlers, dog, cat..it hasnt done any of them any harm!
I pushed my bed against the wall so my babies could sleep with me and not roll onto the floor. Did the same again when my first dog went senile so i could stroke and reassure her through the night.
Ive had about 30 years of broken sleep and ive survived! A few months of sleepless nights when you have a tiny baby, or puppy is to be expected. Catch up in the day if you can...sleep when they sleep. Easy once you get used to it.
