I had the same problem with my Twinkie. I have her on a brand called Blue. I also mix some homemade chicken and rice with her hard food. She loves it! And yes, the stinky breath is from teething. I found out from the vet last week that she will have 2 teeth pulled when she is spayed. Good luck with the food. They can be so picky!
