sadly - I really doubt this happened overnight when you got him. Burping can be from ibd as well as the intestines get inflamed and air gets caught in intestines. This is why it is not good to feed a dog with ibd raw diet as the food gets caught in intestinal tract leading to potential ecoli and salmonella issues
