Gas, throwing up and all that jazz!! suz
Donating Yorkie Yakker
A lot of times, when a dog is rescued, they have come from a place that either has too many dogs, or the owners don't really care about them. Your dog might think that when you feed him, it will be the last meal he EVER gets. I think I'd start out feeding him small meals throughout the day. I know it may be a hassle, but if it works, it will be worth it!! Once he figures out that he will get food on a regular basis, he should start to slow down eating. Then you can start backing down on the number of times he gets fed per day. Granted, this way my take quite a while, but he may not know that he doesn't have to gulp his food. Making him wait to eat may only worsen the problem. Good luck with him.
