SCARY! Thanks for posting the information. I think I am going to call the vet. Our 3 year old, Biggie Smalls freaks out every time we give him Flea and Tick topical medicine. He yipes and runs around the house trying to rub it off as soon as we apply it. He has acted like this since he was a puppy. We have mentioned it to our vet and they all vet does not think it is causing Biggie any harm because there is no sign of allergic reaction anywhere on his body. He thinks Biggie might just not like the smell of the medicine. We have tried switching medicines (went from Front Line to Revolution) and no difference..he still freaks out. He is not a small Yorkie either. He weight 10.5 pounds.
I cannot tell you how much we DREAD giving this medicine to him each month. It is heartbreaking to see him so miserable. We asked about a collars,sprays,etc. but the vet thinks it won't work as well since Bigige LOVES the outdoors and we frequently take him hiking in the woods. |
