Sometimes she won't hear "no", or she just won't stop! It's frustrating and a bit scary [my chihuahua (14 y. o. ) is a great biter, but she's just mean...and the reason I wanted a puppy was to actually have a dog that wants to hang out and play and cuddle! Unlike my chihuahua who basically hates everyone in her old age!].. .It doesn't mean she'll become a biter right? If she doesn't stop sometimes? I'm just worried...I know I have to be patient! |
You have to make her stop. Stop playing with her if she continues biting after a very stern "no." If you aren't playing with her then she can't bite you. If you use a crate for her, then place her in the crate for a bit of a time out until she calms down a bit. That's what some of the others have suggested. You must not let her keep biting you after you have told her no, because then she will not learn what no means. After a short time out, get her out of the crate and give her lots of hugs.
