Second update, this is important. Compare this to the "rumor" being circulated - *VERY* different. And this is exactly why it's not okay to just post a rumor here, and incriminate this or that group.

A very helpful YT member took it upon herself to email the Dog Show from which this rumor originated. Here was the response from the specific kennel club who sanctioned this particular show:

I have a rebuttal to all of those claims from the NKC Show chair that I plan on posting on the website in short order.

I will say that according to our Show Chair, Brenda Weiss, there were no identifiable PETA people at the show and there were no people there wearing PETA t-shirts.

As for the dog being released, there was a dog who got out of his crate and there two men seen nearby. However, no one saw what happened and the men had disappeared before they could be interviewed by club members and local sheriffs. No other attempts were made, to our knowledge, to let dogs out of their crates.

There was some broken "safety glass," found scattered near two rings. No one knows how it got there, but it was immediately cleaned up and no dogs or people were injured.

There were no police reports filed, nor were there any video cameras present. No claims about PETA activity can be substantiated at this time.
