Barney just suffered from pancreatitis at almost age 10 -- it was his second acute attack (first one was at age 5). I consulted with a veterinary nutritionist who advised us. My poor baby has to eat home cooked roasted chicken for the rest of his life. Not that he is complaining yet but I think he is going to greatly miss his treats.
pancreatitis is scary, I never want to go through it again. $1200 and extreme stress not to mention the pain I saw my dog in was enough for me to donate my bully sticks and throw away all my treats.
