When he gets up every 2 - 3 hours, instead of feeding him, I'd take him potty. He's still young and needs to get into a routine and the sooner you start the better. He might be whining because he feels the need to go potty. As far as sleeping on the bed, since he's very young I wouldn't let him do it . . .if the bed is very high and he decides to jump off he could get seriously injured. I'd keep him in his playpen so he can't get into anything or get hurt. Maybe you should put in a warming bottle wrapped up in a blankie so he can lay next to it . . .it'll take time and some sleepness nights . . .
