DJ as we all know a little guy and not very old. But I swear every second I take my eyes off him he is peeing or pooping on my carpet. I know its not something you can't fix over night and I know it takes alot of time training the little pup but what can I do starting at this young age to let him know its not ok too poop and pee all over the floor. He pees on the puppy pads sometimes but not all the time.

This is what I have been doing: I take the poop off the ground and put it on the pad and bring it to it and say see u poopy here. Then I leave him in his play area and he whines and crys. I dont let him out until he is done crying and whining because if I let him out it is rewarding him to cry and I dont want that. Am I doing the right thing? Should i be doing something different??
