the last few days, my little guy has been drooling in his sleep. If he hangs his head over his bed there is a little puddle on the floor. He will be 11 months old next week. He doesn't seem sick, he is eating, drinking, playing like normal. What could be causing him to drool like this? Could it be his toothpaste? I have never seen a dog do this.
I know drooling is one of the signs of a liver shunt. Has your dog been tested? My Teddi had a liver shunt and showed no signs until a few days before she was 1 year old and one day I came home and her mouth was all wet like she had been drooling. I rushed her to the vet and to the emergency hospital and she ended up having a liver shunt. I'm not saying that's what it is but I would maybe have your dog tested.
