It should most definitely not be worms, especially tapeworms. They usually cause no pain at all, even in humans. You don't normally know they have them until you see the itty bitty squirmy segments coming out of their butts. Look like little grains of rice. Impacted anal glands... who knows... let us know what the vet says...
