Sadie was running up her puppy stairs to the bed today and fell from the top step backwards off of them. They are three high only, but she must have fell just right onto her leg or hurt it on the way up or something because she couldn't walk on it after standing up again. We took her to the vet and they gave her an anti-inflammatory injection and some more meds for helping her swelling over the next few days. She's putting a bit more pressure on it this evening, but still mostly holding it up and favoring it a lot.

Anyone had any sprain, strain experience in their yorkies??

I think it's just a sprain, they said we could bring her in for x-rays if she doesn't seem to improve, but since she's putting some weight on it now, i think i'll hold off a bit and let her keep healing. She's never yelped or whined at all from this whole thing. What do you guys think??
