How long have you had Jeter? It took my 3 cats quite awhile to realize that Trace was not just visiting. I've had him since April and I'd say the cats tolerate him at best. Trace thinks that hiss and swat is the only game they know. He has learned that kitties can hurt ya. He'll run circles around them really, really quick and stay barely out of paw's reach. I told my husband that Trace is thinking...."ha, missed me again, kitty, missed me". Their relationship might be better if Trace wouldn't try the humpin' game w/ them....they are NOT playing THAT
