 Stud Contract Questions
Hello everyone...I have had a lifelong love affair with Yorkies. I am considering following my passion to become a breeder. I do not want to go into champion niche because my love has always been for the average 5-8lb Yorkie. To begin we all have to have a first litter which I have had. I watched 100 videos, talked to breeders and vets. Thank God I was prepared but nothing is like whelping your first. We are keeping the three in the family. I will not offer any puppies until I decide Ive made a lifelong commitment to be a real breeder. Here is my question: What is a typical contract for stud for akc and non? Is there somewhere I can go to learn? I have had a personal experience here in San Diego which feels like a scam or con. If my mom were to only have one puppy does that go to the stud owner or payment of 2500 if it is a female? Smells funny! Please be kind. We all start out somewhere. I can assure you I love this breed more than anything. The money is so far down the list of importance. Thank you |
