I doubt you will get pet insurance on an older pupster, but you could try. The teeth absolutely need to be done. Did the vet do any lab work on her? I would definitely want that done...she might also have kidney issues. It is always good to do lab studies so you have a baseline. Did you adopt from a rescue? If so, they should have done labs and you should have a copy of them.
