actually i try to get them to bite me (my hand) on purpose to work with them to make sure they develop "soft mouth". it's what i learned from puppy school-make the puppies bite you very softly so they learn bite inhibition and never snap or bite people too hard no matter what happens.
i knew a dog who would put her own lips over her teeth when she bites people, it's so cute!
