Sure, true obesity is so bad for health - and is also such a problem now for U.S. children (especially).

But the fact our culture (and so many others too) idolize an appearance that is unattainable or airbrushed or obtained via unhealthy means, is truly demoralizing for all of us, and causes such an unhealthy set of standards.
I don't understand why celebs allow/support the airbrushing that is growing more extreme as technology advances. Personally, I wouldn't want my face or body airbushed, photoshopped, and digitally enhanced beyond recognition...people would only be disappointed to meet the real person.

V -- I cringe whenever I see the tabloid covers featuring an unflattering picture of Pierce Brosnan's wife, who gained a considerable amount of weight after leaving the industry -- long ago. It's sick the way she is held up for ridicule.
