V, I so agree w/ you. I think the way we've come to value appearance over other things has become so damaging

Sure, true obesity is so bad for health - and is also such a problem now for U.S. children (especially).
But the fact our culture (and so many others too) idolize an appearance that is unattainable or airbrushed or obtained via unhealthy means, is truly demoralizing for all of us, and causes such an unhealthy set of standards.
