 Question About Puppy Coat
Hi! As many of you have read in my previous posts, Chloe is our first Yorkie. We got her when she was 12 weeks old. Her coat was pretty smooth when we got her but lately it has started to change - as it is growing the ends appear to be wooly, black and wavy while the new growth appears to be dark grey (blue) and silky. Is this normal. Will her coat always be the texture as the ends of her puppy coat, or will it eventually all turn to the texture of the new growth. She is almost 5 months and her head has all turned silky. Both of her parents were silky, but the breeder did tell me that as a puppy her daddy had hair that would tangle. She said it completely changed when he was about a year old. When I met him he had the most beautiful coat ever. Thanks for any advice! |
