When I lost my 18 year old hheart dog, my husband got me trixie two days later. I hated her (and him) for the first week, but i learned to just hug her when i missed snoopy. I would go sit on snoopy's grave and trixie would sit about 4 feet back behind me, and wait. occasionaly rolling her ball to me but i knew if i turned my grief to her and love on her i would adjust...this friend of yours might not be able to do that. |
I do have an expen, and thought that's the way I'd do it. But, all my babies sleep with me and DH, so not sure how I'd handle the night time.
Glad your little Trixie made you feel better, eventinually (sp).
