The W chain does require a pet fee but the Sheraton chain takes them without a fee. I stayed at the Sheraton Towers and it was wonderful!!! And on Saturdays (I don't know if it is every Saturday or one particular one per month) they have a street fair right in front of the hotel. It was so much fun. Close to the park.
Also, some additional info... you are allowed to bring your dog on the trains, buses, and subways if your dog is contained. I brought my stroller and was able to go everywhere with my pups.
