Thanks so much for the tip, as it is too late to get a back seat car carrier before Turkey Day. I live in a small town, and they don't have anything like that here, or nearby.

The passenger car seat can be disconnected, but then I am at risk if there is an accident.

I will try the backseat idea, but she loves laying on my lap.
However, this is definitely the best as I don't want to risk not having a lap dog.
