How lucky, perennials make it a bit easier. but I did see the daffodils poking through the brown of the dead grass and leaves today and it made me smile! I love the first sight of daffodils and crocus as well! They are just happy little flowers.
I always do a pot of something bright like petunias or impatiens near the front door, but we have tulips in a row there too. In the back, I like to do a pot of herbs so I can grab them quick off the deck while I'm cooking. Love fresh herbs to cook with also. Every winter I bring my rosemary into the house as I use it so often. I will also plant one of each of a bush tomato, a grape tomato, and a cherry tomato, plus a banana pepper, a bell pepper, all from little plants I buy. I will probably attempt snap peas & morning glories together again-it's a pretty combination climbing up a trellis That sounds like a great combination, I have never tried it! I planted cosmos seeds for a couple years and now I don't have to plant them anymore because I have perpetual volunteers that keep coming back | Don't you just love cosmos? They never cease to amaze me where they end up planting themselves. Best of luck with you plantings. I would love to see some pics this year! |
