I have this book on dog breeds and saw the picture. It said they are a rare breed. Well, when I googled it, I found this website:
The Lucas Terrier Club of America
It says there are only about 100 in the US!!! So, they are really hard to come by. They have a list of states with breeders, though and CA is on the list.
They are SO cute!! I like that they come in different colors. They are companion dogs, too so they just want to please. I love my yorkie but would like it if he was a little bigger - he seems so fragile. I will def. look for a Lucas when we want another pup.
