actually i did give you other links like disc issue and also the other issue of chiari - we can only give you info on information you give us and you said your dog had neck pain so had we said nothing would that have been better information for you? sorry i would want to know all possibilities and a few of us felt it could be that as we see that alot on here and it is common in yorkies. If you do not want information then best not to ask as we are going to give you the info we see on here and it is up to your vet to diagnose the dog but we can only give information based on the symptoms we are given. We help alot of dogs here and we try to give you all options but it is up to the owner to go to the vet or specialist to see what is going on. If this was something more serious you would have been thanking us for giving the information but the good news is you went to vet and got a diagnosis and hopefully it is accurate and no other problems in future. I am not one to just say go to vet only i will always pull up info and post based on symptoms and it is not to scare people it is to educate them on what things we see and what runs in the breed and base it on our experiences and i have 3 dogs all 6 and none of them have ever had a sore neck so personally i think that is not normal and they jump off and on the couch, etc.

I am not scared when people try to help me i am thankful that they gave me info to help me with my dog and to gather that info then go to the vet or specialist to get a diagnosis - no one on here is a vet we are just pet owners trying to help when people have a sick dog which i think is a good thing. It is not to scare or torment people but to educate them on the possibilities.

Did your vet do xrays? Why did she give pain meds if there was no pain as i would not do pain meds if my dog was not in pain? sorry but sadly vets make mistakes too it has happen with mine many of time. You said your dog does not rough house etc so how would she hurt her neck?

Again I am hoping the best for your baby but knowledge is not a bed thing and being prepared for the worst and hoping for best is always the best way to approach things as then you are a prepared pet owner
