There are standard colored yorkies and parti colored yorkies. Both can be AKC registered. Partis are considered to have a color fault per YTCA and can't compete in AKC confirmation events.
Biewers orginated in Germay in 84, were imported to the US in 2003 and as yet are not recognized by AKC. They are recognized in other countries and can be shown in rare breed shows here in the US.
