We just had our baby spayed today. We took her in at 8:00 am & picked her up at 4:00. They wanted to keep her overnight but there was not going to be anybody there & nobody to check on her all night so we said no. It was such a long day waiting & we were so excited to pick her up that we didn't think to ask many questions & they didn't tell us anything about what to expect. Never even saw the vet. Only assistants. Should they have given us anything for pain? Is there anything we can give her to make her more comfortable? She ate & drank a little but can't seem to get comfortable & looks so sad. She hasn't gone potty yet either. Any advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated. I know I won't sleep at all tonight.
