I think if the puppy is played with and held by the breeder that it will love humans. However a puppy that is left in a crate and has very little human contact will take much longer to bond, simply becuse they were not bonded to HUMANS in general. |
i got Karma at 2 years old, she will not leave my side, she won't go to the kids when they call her. she sleeps in my bed and will not get up until I do. so i agree, bonding is based (IMHO) on how much time YOU spend with the dog.
When I got my cairn terrier pup I let the kids hold her a lot and take her to their room well she ended up bonding with my oldest son and husband more then me. And i feel that was because I didnt hold her and play with her like they did. I thought it was cute that they loved on her and she loved back..lol well now she is "their dog' lol
