Okay, i need help now...
My lil Yuuki is almost 3 months now, n very healthy n energetic...he is soooo adorable..
here's my problems though..
1. potty train...
So, every morning n b4 he sleeps, i take him out for like half an hour more or less, but he hardly want to go..sometimes he did most of the time he didnt..n in the day,when im not home, my mom or lil sis would take him out every 2hrs to do his business, but he still peed everywhere inside the house.....sometimes poop too...
whats worst, we rarely caught him in the act...when we follow him around, he didnt do it..but when we let him out of sight for a few minutes, voila...new puddle in the corners..
we cant watch him all the time, but we never leave him alone..
i tried to put newspaper on the corner in case he want to pee in the house, he can use that, but hey, when no one around, he destroyed it...shred it into pieces..
i'm thinking bout using litter box, is it a good idea?
2. teach him his name...
Im trying to teach him his name, but he doesn't seem to catch on...
It's been two weeks since i brought him home..
he wouldnt come if i call him or if anybody else call him for that matter, even though i tried to give him reward, n make him pay attention, he only come when he saw the snack, he won't come if i call, if he didn't see the snack..his ears wont perk up at the sound of his name..so im sure he doesnt know his name..
any idea why? i used to hv dogs before this, not a yorkie though, they catch on very quickly with their name...
3. stop him from biting n nipping people's toes or hands..also stop him from following everybody around..
i tried to stop this habit, he is getting better, i notice, when he is not "high"..he seems to understand that we dont like it when he bite/nip..but, when he got over excited, like when he is playing n exercising (or as i said, when he is "high" ; lol), he bites, he didnt seems to care if we scold him ...he looooves toes...
what concern me is that lots of people visit my house, n lets face it, not everyone love dogs..
no matter whoever came, he would follow the person, tried to nip his toes..(like i said, at the moment, its pretty useless to call him, n to stop him from following whoever that come to my house, except if we pick him up, but its not a good solution) im afraid if the person freaked out, n jump, n might hurt Yuuki...
about my previous dogs, even though it's been years since i had em, i successfully get em to learn the rules very fast, it's weird why Yuuki hasnt catch on yet..i know he is still very young, but Willy, DeeDee, ToongToong, n Blacky were the about that young when i got em...perhaps its not good to compared them like that but i can't help it, everyone in the house were saying the same thing..
so i have to be patient, but i need to know if there is something wrong with the way i train him...
oh but u know what, im pretty excited coz he seems to understand the comand "sit" pretty well, i've been teaching him to sit these two days, n he sits very beautifully n rarely failed to do so..so i know he is smart...so why the problems above???
