Be prepared, do a search on biting, and how to teach your dog not to bite. Here's a great article on why it's important that a small breed dog be kept with the mother longer. Why do Maltese puppies need to be 12 weeks old before going to a new home?? |
AMEN TO THAT!! As a mother of a little biter who came home at 7.5 weeks, i would highly recommend that you NEVER bring a pup home before 12 weeks unless you want a lifetime of ankle biting, chasing feet, and hand/finget biting to deal with!!!!
Not to mention my personal opinion is that you should get your deposit back on this dog and DO NOT go with the breeder you choose. This person is 100% NOT responsible and probably getting you into a whole heap of trouble and a lifetime of possible health problems and sky high vet bills. PLEASE don't do what i did and ignore these YTers, LISTEN to them, they really know what they're talking about, i'm telling you from experience i did the exact thing you are about to do and it wasn't the right thing.
hope that you listen and get your deposit back
