Do not beat yourself up! You expected what you saw; a nice person who was caring and forthright. What you got was a puppymiller. Unfortunately, the economy has brought many of her kind out. They look just like us, but there main motive is the almighty green back! The animal is not looked upon as another of the wondrous creatures here on this beautiful world, but as a cash-cow.

You were trusting and honest, those are characteristics that are deeply undervalued in our world today. Please do not change that. However, now that you know, change your behavior in judging other people solely on face value. It is a hard thing to do, but you have the experience behind you, & now and you understand the game!
Make a note of this breeder, and make sure you explain what you have told me to her. No, it might not change her behavior, but you have called her on it. Now she knows that you will spread the information.
