 Bella, Our First Dog Ever
Some dear friends of ours inherited Bella through a family tragedy. They took her when she was under 2 lbs. and very young. After 6 weeks they decided Bella was not safe in a home with a 2 year old and 5 year old. They knew we were cat lovers and asked us if we would take Bella into our home. Never having had a dog before we asked lots of questions and were a little hesitant because we knew it was a life-long committment. Well, they asked us if we would watch Bella for 6 hours because they had lots of errands to do (ha, ha) and we said yes. Needless to say, we spent 6 hours with her and were hooked. We took her in a day later and now we have had her for 8 months and can't imagine life without her. We always "looked down" on dog people and never understood their devotion. I am proud to say we are now "dog people" and understand just how wonderful it is to have a dog. Bella has a wonderful life and we spoil her constantly. She is a joy and adds so much to our life. We are grateful for the day we agred to "puppysit" for 6 hours because that turned into a lifelong love story. |
