I remember my first few days with Sophie Kate. My first time meeting her was in a parking lot for Restoration Hardware, I had met her previous owner there with the thought I was going to "babysit" her for a week because the original owners husband did not like her and was yelling at her (big jerk, editorial comment sorry).

I was told Sophie Kate was "untrainable" at 14 weeks, surprisingly enough when they brought Sophie Kate that was all they brought, no food, no harness, no crate - nothing because they didn't have this stuff. Imagine my surprise!!!.

Before picking her up I made arrangements with my Vet to check her out so we went immediately to the Vets office. Since there were no records of shots I had her get her first set of puppy shots. While she was there I made a quick trip to Petsmart for a leash, harness and potty pads (The Vet loaned me a crate at first). When I went back to get her from the Vet Sophie Kate as all wiggly and happy to see me, that is what won my heart.

We had her for one week, training was going really well and she was just the sweetest little girl. I made arrangements for her "owner" to pick her up on a Friday night from my Vet since I had to leave town the prior day for business. On Saturday I got a call from the Vets office saying no one had picked her up and one of the Techs would take her if I didn't want her, I passed on that offer and went and brought my little girl home.

Sophie Kate has been with us ever since, she is a sweet, well mannered little girl who is perfectly trained.

That's so sad. How can someone abandon a puppy like that? Those jerks were heartless!!! But, lucky for SophieKate that she found a wonderful forever home.
