I had a hint of nostalgia not long ago. I was cleaning up and organizing all my pictures when I finally got to the puppy folder. WOW! Over 500 pics in about 7 months, can you tell I'm smitten?

I even made a welcome home album

Let's see.... that first day.... I was running on maybe 2 hours of sleep and 10 am couldn't get there fast enough. I felt like a kid going to Disneyland for the first time. Kaji flew all the way from MO to come live with me and all I can think of was how long of a flight that was for my 1 yr old boy.
I knew Kaji wasn't a tiny, but when I finally got there and saw him in his crate curled up as tight as he could all I could think of was how cute he was and how TINY!!! He made himself smaller than he really was. I remember rushing to sign for him, and of course signing in the wrong box

, then rushing outside to some benches to get to know my little guy. Armed with chicken in my hand, I fed him little piece by piece until he trusted me enough to come to the front of the kennel. I wanted to cry! He was the cutest thing in the world, exactly what I had I always pictured for my first dog, and what I had been dreaming of for 20 years. Here he was, all mine.

Something you need to know about me is I LOVE fast cars. Mine is an economical car with a little speed, and I usually don't follow speed limits (shh! don't tell!) but the ride home I swear I didn't go over 45 on the freeway because I didn't want to scare him more than he already was, it was a short drive anyway.

I tried to walk him, he wouldn't move because of the unfamiliarity of his new surroundings, and I even lost my car keys. What a morning! I bathed him, my cousin came over and found my keys in the parking lot, and it was nothing but ooing and awwing over this tiny creature that tried to mark my roommate's couch several times.
Did I mention it was his birthday? My cousin convinced me we had to celebrate. Off we went to Downtown Disney, meeting up with my brothers and Kaji hanging out in my messenger bag for school. He slept for the most part and wasn't even frazzled by the fireworks. Poor pup was tired. Ever since then, Kaji has been my faithful companion. I take him everywhere I possibly can. Date night's with bf

, family trip to the Grand Canyon, and sitting on the couch reading up on all the other pups on YT. I love my munchkin and I can't even remember what life was like before he got here.
