I have a 3 pound male, he is 16 months old and very healthy. I have never had any problems with him. I keep him on a premium dog food (blue buffalo), no table scraps, and just make sure he stays out of things he shouldn't get into. He is happy and healthy. I watch him carefully about jumping off of high places, but other than that, no problems,
