I thaw them in the microwave. At first I caught them up in fairly small pieces, and he never had any problems digesting them. I'm one of those poop checkers, even after I started given him bigger pieces he looks like he fully digests them. Each dog is different, but I would cut them up at first as this helps with digestion. I gave Joey a frozen one once, he wouldn't eat it.
