This is what I did with Reesie when he was "using" his mouth too much. Whenever he would bite I would use my fingers and tap his hind quarters hard enough to get his attention and say "NO-NO!" in a loud voice. Some people have said to pop them in the nose, but I did not want Reesie to be afraid of my hands, so I just tap his hind quarters (like on his back leg next to his tail.). This has worked wonders for us. I do it just enough to get his attention and to break his concentration. It does take time to train them. Reesie is 8 months old and he is still learning, but consistency is the key. At first, I thought, he is just not getting it, but then after about a month of tapping him on his back leg I started to see improvement. (Please keep in mind, I'm not hitting, just tapping.) Hang in there. I promise it does get better! Hope this helps!!
